Components of a wireless home security alarm kit
Posted in Home Security on February 12th, 2006The complexity of a wireless home security alarm kit depends upon the number of features the system has. The more the features, the more complex is the alarm system. Generally, the wireless security alarm kit comprises of the following components:
Control Panel: Control panel is the heart of the security system because it controls all the operations. It is installed at a convenient place like a closet or a basement. The control panel works as the brains of the alarm system. It receives and analyzes all radio signals that are transmitted by sensors.
Sensors and transmitters: Sensors and transmitters work in tandem. Whenever there is a change in the surrounding environment (such as someone entering the premises), the sensors detect the changes. Using transmitters, these changes are sent as radio waves to the control panel. The control panel analyzes these signals, and triggers an alarm whenever the activity enters the suspicious range.
Touch pads: Remote touch pads are installed at convenient places around the house. They can be operated from a distance through remote keys, and can be used to switch on lights even when the family is sitting at a friends place.
